Lana, a normally happy 42 year old school teacher in Denver, CO with short red hair was feeling sad about her bedroom. Since she was a child her parents always nagged her about her room, and now she was living the way they predicted she would. Un-hung clothing laid around on every surface, there were papers and books on her bed, notepads and unopened mail on the dresser.
Lana said, “more than anything I want to wake up in a beautiful, decorated bedroom. But every morning when I look at the overwhelming amount of work that has to be done, I don’t know where to begin, and I relive hearing my mother’s complaining voice. I just don’t know what to do.”
Being in the Organizing Mastery class helped Lana get to the root of her problem. Her organizing was not about the “stuff” in the room, it was about breaking down the barriers that kept her from making decisions. During the class Lana worked on her bedroom. Her bedroom was cleaned up in 90 minutes! Organizing is about loving yourself!
